I live about 20 miles from Lee’s in Sanford so I don’t get there often - however I have been eating at order taking out for ‘Many Years’ — as far as I am concerned they have the best fried chicken, biscuits and sides of any .... Including Church’s, Publix, KFC, Bojangles and Zaxby’s. I have not eaten at any other Lee’s but the one in Sanford Rocks!!!
If you are coming to Lee’s Make sure you get to visit Ms. Christa she is amazing. She is so sweet and makes every experience special. The food is always great and it is really something truly special.
This place never disappoints. The quality is through the roof and the Cole Slaw was really cold. Will be back when in the area.
They've improved the gravy on the mashed potatoes!! Great fried chicken. And for not a crazy high price.
Nobody cooks gizzards and livers as good as Lee’s does. Every time my family and I are in town we have to stop by and get some livers and gizzards. The employees are always friendly. Before even leaving the parking lot we are always asked for change . That isn’t the restaurant’s fault.
Lee’s is one of my favorite chicken places. It used to be Famous Recipe long long time ago, and of course it has changed a lot. I’m writing this review bcus of the hospitality that was shown to me the last couple of times I have gone there, I went there on 02/06/2025, the lady that took my order is the same lady that took my order before! She is awesome, her personality, her smile, her welcoming attitude, her gentle voice and her warm spirit, makes me happy to go there. I asked her, her name, I should’ve written it down, I always forget her name! I think it starts with a (C). I can say this is the attitude and kindness that you want to experience in all of the food establishments that you go too, this lady is wonderful! I wish all employees would greet ppl with this kind of respect. Thanks Mrs.C.
First time visiting the area, we were staying in Orlando but my wife found this place while we were in Sanford running some errands. I didn't take any pictures, unfortunately, but I ordered a 3 piece buffalo chicken tender meal that came with a biscuit. My wife had the fish and chips. The young lady that was on the window was great and recommended we try their two ranch sauces. The chicken was so good, it wasn't dry at all and it was top quality chicken, listen I would have drove 1 hr back for it, we just ran out of time while we were there. The biscuit was melt in your mouth without any honey and better than most other places (i.e Popeyes, Church's, etc). My wife doesn't eat chicken anymore, she amazed at my reaction so much that she tried a tiny piece of it and shook her head while saying that's a good piece of chicken. If/when we're ever in FL and close enough to one of their locations, it's a stop I'm making for sure! Highly recommended.
Food was tasty! Quality was excellent! Young man at the drive thru was great! We went for apple pies! It was worth the 2nd trip through! Highly recommend!
